Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nestor Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Nunley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nestor Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Nunley!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nunley gets a double leg takedown into Walsh's guard.
Nunley trying to control but Walsh is working from the bottom.

Nunley drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Walsh dives on top into guard.
Walsh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Walsh being controlled here momentarily.

Walsh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Walsh with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Walsh working some strikes from top position.
Nunley is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Nunley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walsh's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walsh keeping full guard, as Nunley tries to pass.
Nunley won't allow Walsh to get back to his feet.

Nunley controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Walsh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nunley on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack Nunley was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Walsh blocks a leg kick.
Walsh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nunley shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Walsh is trying to defend but Nunley finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nunley moves nicely into side control.
Walsh defending against the ground and pound.

Walsh takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The strikes coming from Nunley are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Nunley lands some shots froms side control.
Nunley tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Walsh is trying to control Nunley's posture but Nunley avoids it.
Nunley in side control, throwing shots but Walsh defends.

Nunley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walsh keeps working.
Walsh wants to get back to his feet.
Nunley is looking to take a break and control but Walsh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nunley looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Nunley dominated that round.
That's time! Walsh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Walsh tries to clinch but Nunley is having none of it.

Nunley looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Walsh is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Nunley trying to stand up but can't free himself from Walsh's guard.
Nunley throws a strike but Walsh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nunley is on top in guard.
Nunley stops Walsh from standing up.
Nunley looking to sit in guard and control but Walsh gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nunley trying to keep a closed guard but Walsh is proving a slippery customer.
Nunley pulls Walsh in close to his closed guard and prevents Walsh from doing any damage or advancing position.
Nunley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Nunley has his foot on Walsh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Walsh works his way back into a safe position though.
Nunley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walsh controls the pace.

Walsh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Nunley has his hands on Walsh's head, controlling the position.
Nunley looking to control but Walsh passes into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nunley tries to roll over but Walsh keeps him under control.
Walsh thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nunley's head.
Jack Nunley has got the better of the ground game so far.
Nunley blocking the ground and pound attempt from Walsh.
Nunley trying to hold on to Walsh's head to control him but Walsh postures up.
Walsh scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Nunley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Walsh tries to sprawl but Nunley drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Nunley controlling the pace.

Nunley wants to work for an arm triangle but Walsh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Walsh is trying to control but can't.
Nunley wants to stand up but Walsh is controlling the position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walsh on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Nunley working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Walsh's thigh. Walsh counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Nunley trying to control the position from guard on top but Walsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nunley drops back looking for a leg! Walsh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walsh manages to kick Nunley off! Nunley jumps back into Walsh's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walsh is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nunley is controlling him.
Nunley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.


Walsh is rocked!
Nunley working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Oh Walsh is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nunley is in close to Walsh's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Nunley gets to his feet and stands over Walsh, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Walsh felt that one! Nunley unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Walsh from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Nunley!
