Schaubi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kanye West ft. The xx - Touch the Sky. Abu Schaubi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schaubi is fending him off so far but Brown persists. Nope, Schaubi circles away and we're back to standing.
Schaubi looks to score with a jab to the body but Brown is just out of range.
Schaubi throws a jab but it's blocked by Brown.
Mikey Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown tries to clinch up.
Brown will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The referee asks Brown politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Brown prefers to stall for the moment though.
We've been hearing good reports from Brown's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Schaubi is looking to regain half guard here but Brown keeps moving and retains side control.

Schaubi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Schaubi, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Schaubi against the cage but Schaubi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Schaubi throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Brown tumbling to the canvas!

It looks like Mikey Brown has been cut.
Mikey Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Schaubi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Schaubi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Schaubi pounces like a tiger and cracks Brown with a vicious hook! Brown is down but not out! Schaubi follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
