Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexei Varga!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Varga closes the distance and clinches.

Varga has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bowman regains guard immediately.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Varga drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bowman dives on top into guard.
Varga striking off his back but it's not causing Bowman any problems.
Bowman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Varga is keeping the position for now.
Bowman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Varga had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bowman defends it easily.

Varga working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bowman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bowman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bowman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bowman won't allow Varga to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bowman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bowman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Varga is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bowman frees his head nicely. Oh but Varga has switched to an armbar! Bowman is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
