Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Ron Burgundy!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch feints and as Burgundy raises his hands in defense, Lynch changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Burgundy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lynch controls the pace.

We're going to have a standup here because Jamie Lynch wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Burgundy wants to clinch up but Lynch keeps it at a distance.

Lynch moves into range and clinches up with Burgundy.
Lynch cracks Burgundy with a nice body shot.

Lynch breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Burgundy is looking to clinch but Lynch is avoiding it.

Lynch has closed the distance and engaged Burgundy in a clinch.
Burgundy with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lynch has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Burgundy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Lynch is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Burgundy can't fight it off and eventually Lynch manages to take the fight to the floor. Burgundy looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lynch is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lynch is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Burgundy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lynch works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Lynch has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Lynch in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Burgundy tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Lynch!
