Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Egor Gromylo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Egor Gromylo!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gromylo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gromylo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Marshall shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gromylo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Marshall wants to control from the top but Gromylo keeps moving.
Marshall postures up in Gromylo's guard and throws a big left but Gromylo blocks it.
Marshall trying to control the position from guard on top but Gromylo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gromylo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gromylo can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Andrew Marshall just wasn't active enough.

Marshall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Marshall showed some decent athleticism there.

Marshall stands up out of the half guard.
Marshall throws a solid leg kick but Gromylo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marshall.

Marshall is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Marshall could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Egor Gromylo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gromylo gets caught napping as Marshall dives in and scores a takedown. Gromylo manages to retain guard.

Gromylo keeping moving, preventing Marshall from controlling successfully.
Marshall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gromylo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Marshall gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Marshall pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gromylo takes one to the chin there.
Gromylo walks into a straight right hand from Marshall.

Marshall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Marshall tries to free his leg and advance position but Gromylo is retaining full guard.

Gromylo wants to get back to his feet but Marshall drags him back down.

No luck for Gromylo with that takedown attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marshall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Marshall showed some decent athleticism there.
Gromylo tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marshall frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's time! Marshall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Marshall shoots in and bounces Gromylo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Gromylo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marshall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gromylo is wriggling around but Marshall manages to pass to half guard.
Gromylo is looking to get back to full guard here but Marshall has managed to pass to side control instead.
Gromylo is breathing heavily.

Marshall wants to control but Gromylo is keeping him busy.

Marshall decides to take the fight back to the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Marshall taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Marshall has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gromylo regains guard immediately.
Marshall trying to control but Gromylo is working from the bottom.
Marshall is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Gromylo keeping moving, preventing Marshall from controlling successfully.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Marshall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gromylo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Marshall.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Marshall decides to take the fight back to the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Marshall has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gromylo regains guard immediately.

Gromylo has his foot on Marshall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marshall works his way back into a safe position though.

Gromylo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marshall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marshall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gromylo is working an open guard so Marshall takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Marshall closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gromylo did well to prevent Marshall getting side control.
Marshall is trying to control. Gromylo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Still in half guard, Marshall seems content to control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gromylo looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Marshall dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Marshall shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Marshall stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marshall thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Marshall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gromylo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Marshall seems to be looking for submissions.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Marshall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gromylo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marshall.

Gromylo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Marshall.
Marshall wants to control but Gromylo is keeping him busy.

Gromylo is defending against the submission attempts here by Marshall.

Marshall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Gromylo pushes Marshall off looking to stand but Marshall dives back in and keeps control.
Gromylo wants to improve his position but Marshall is controlling well.
Gromylo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marshall is working away from the top position though.

Marshall throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Marshall is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gromylo sees it coming and defends easily.

Marshall decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Marshall scores with a takedown into Gromylo's guard.

Marshall gets to his feet. Gromylo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Marshall throws a chopping leg kick but Gromylo manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Marshall drives through and clinches with Gromylo against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Gromylo throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Gromylo creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Marshall turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Marshall manages to end up in side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gromylo is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andrew Marshall showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Marshall has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
