The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Gesicht, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gesicht fails to land with a series of punches.
Gesicht misses with a two punch combination.

Eduardo scores a takedown into full mount!
Gesicht is wriggling around trying to escape.

Eduardo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gesicht has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gesicht tries to lock up and control but Eduardo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gesicht is squirming around, avoiding Eduardo's attempts to control the action.
Eduardo looks gassed!
Gesicht tries to hold on but Eduardo pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eduardo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gesicht has worked his arm free - good work by Gesicht!
Gesicht is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Eduardo is controlling him well.

Gesicht stops Eduardo from passing to mount.
Eduardo prevents Gesicht from escaping the position.
Gesicht knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Eduardo on the ground.

Gesicht throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Eduardo stumbling backwards into the cage! Eduardo bounces back off the cage towards Gesicht, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Gesicht lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Gesicht celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
