The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karoa darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Karoa frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Karoa wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Karoa.
Karoa fails to advance to Silva's back.
Silva tries to lock up and control but Karoa gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Silva takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

It looks like Erick Silva has been cut.
Silva tries to hold on but Karoa postures up.
Karoa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Karoa lands a heavy elbow.

Silva keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Karoa lands with some strikes.

Karoa is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Silva is surviving well by controlling Karoa's body position as best he can.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karoa on the ground.
Karoa wants to take Silva's back but he can't do it this time.
Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Silva has left one of his arms exposed and Karoa doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Silva screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
