Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suu Kii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suu Kii has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mickey Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Suu Kii!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Francis DeMontford and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith scores with a jab. Kii acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Kii swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kii throws a combination that misses

and Smith counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smith.

Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Smith has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kii is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Smith.

Smith tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kii cranks the arm and Smith screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Smith, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
