Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Shaft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaft throws a right and a left that both miss.
Shaft lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Greg Chang has been cut.
Shaft throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chang moves out of range of the body kick.
Shaft is looking to clinch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Shaft. That's going to slow Chang down.
Chang is breathing heavily.
Shaft drops Chang with a left and a right! Oh, Chang is hurt - Shaft dives into side control looking to finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shaft stands up.
Shaft doesn't manage to clinch there - Chang circles away.
Shaft throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Shaft scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Shaft misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shaft closes this distance looking for a takedown but Chang circles away.
Chang dodges the punch combination from Shaft.
Chang steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Shaft. That one must have hurt.
John Shaft seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shaft's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Shaft duly obliges.
Shaft lands a front kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chang chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shaft can pounce on him.

Chang tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shaft swivels and escapes.
A slapping leg kick lands for Shaft.
Chang shoots in and drives through. Shaft sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Shaft. No joy for Chang on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Chang. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Chang. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Shaft looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Chang is defending well. Shaft quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Chang has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Shaft celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
