The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler closes the distance and clinches up with Madrigal, looking for a takedown. Tyler pushes Madrigal against the cage but Madrigal circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tyler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Madrigal pinned against the cage. Madrigal gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tyler looks for a takedown but Madrigal sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Tyler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tyler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Madrigal forces Tyler back against the cage and clinches.

Madrigal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tyler lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Tyler in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Madrigal tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Tyler!
