The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz throws an overhand right that lands on Yolo's shoulder, as Yolo tries to avoid the shot.
Cruz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cruz wants it to stay on the feet.
A jab from Yolo misses.
Sloppy strikes from Cruz. Those never looked like landing.
Yolo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cruz swivels and escapes.
Yolo shoots in but no luck this time.
Justin Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Filip Yolo.
Cruz delivers a nice body kick.

Yolo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cruz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Yolo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Yolo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Yolo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cruz but Cruz pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Yolo moves away from the strike by Cruz.
Cruz throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Cruz cracks Yolo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cruz has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Yolo to stand back up!

It looks like Filip Yolo has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yolo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cruz can pounce on him.
Yolo shoots in and drives through. Cruz sprawls well.
Cruz throws a hook to the side of Yolo's head but Yolo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cruz scores with a sloppy right hand. Yolo should have avoided that one.

Cruz lands a big uppercut and Yolo crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Yolo looks OK. Cruz waves Yolo back to his feet!

Yolo is rocked!
Cruz scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Yolo is still on wobbly legs! Can Cruz finish him?
Cruz throws a lazy right hand but Yolo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cruz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Yolo. That did some damage!
Yolo seems to have recovered his senses.
A punch combination from Cruz misses.

Cruz drops Yolo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Yolo looks back up at him and smiles so Cruz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Cruz scores with a hook to the body. Yolo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cruz.
Cruz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cruz lands a nice looking body kick.
Justin Cruz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Yolo dodges the punch combination from Cruz.
Cruz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yolo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Cruz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Yolo's calf.

Cruz lands a big head kick that sends Yolo tumbling to the mat! Cruz takes a step backwards and waves Yolo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cruz moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cruz feints a jab and as Yolo dips his head, Cruz unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Yolo right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Yolo falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Cruz smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
