Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rhett Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sene Gal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Figueroa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gal's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Gal has his foot on Figueroa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Figueroa works his way back into a safe position though.

Figueroa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Figueroa stays in close to Gal's body and controls the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Figueroa slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Figueroa has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gal to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Figueroa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gal pulls down on the head and he's put Figueroa to sleep! This one is all over!
