The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Liechtenstein pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Arjen Von Liechtenstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Delaney takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Von Liechtenstein takes a swing at Delaney's ribcage but misses.
Delaney slips a straight right by Von Liechtenstein.
Von Liechtenstein with a poor takedown
and Delaney counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Delaney closes the distance and clinches.
Von Liechtenstein works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Delaney.

Delaney breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Von Liechtenstein looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Delaney feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Von Liechtenstein's calf.
Delaney moves in looking to clinch but Von Liechtenstein pushes him off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Delaney closes the distance and clinches.

Delaney throws a head punch that misses.

Delaney's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Delaney leaves Von Liechtenstein with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Von Liechtenstein missing with a left hand there. Delaney was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Delaney scores with a head kick. Von Liechtenstein tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Arjen Von Liechtenstein has been cut.
Delaney tries a head kick but it misses.
Von Liechtenstein throws a jab but it's blocked by Delaney.
Delaney lands a front kick.
Von Liechtenstein connects with a looping right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A telegraphed right hand from Von Liechtenstein misses the target.
Von Liechtenstein slips a straight right by Delaney.
Delaney misses with a series of wild punches.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Delaney has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Delaney counters with a nice leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arjen Von Liechtenstein. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Delaney throws a quick inside leg kick.

and Von Liechtenstein counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Delaney lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Von Liechtenstein has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Von Liechtenstein and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Delaney gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Delaney slips nicely into half guard.
Delaney lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Delaney postures up in Von Liechtenstein's guard and throws a big left but Von Liechtenstein blocks it.

Von Liechtenstein is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Delaney has his hands clasped together but Von Liechtenstein extends and breaks Delaney's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Von Liechtenstein.
