Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Kim!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Myles O Donnell!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
No joy there for O Donnell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kim defending well as O Donnell loads up on a big left hand.
Kim uses good head movement to avoid the hook from O Donnell.
Kim shoots for a double leg takedown but O Donnell sprawls well. He's pushed Kim's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
O Donnell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
O Donnell lands a head shot.
O Donnell throws a leg kick which misses Kim's front leg but catches the back leg as Kim tries to avoid it.

Kim fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. O Donnell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

I was talking to Kim's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Kim is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. O Donnell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kim.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roberto Kim will probably get the nod.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from O Donnell lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kim has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kim and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
