The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stringfellow shoots in and drives through. Royler sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stringfellow is defended easily by Royler.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stringfellow looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stringfellow tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Royler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Stringfellow tries to stall but Royler uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Royler tries to throw a body punch but Stringfellow avoids it by throwing Royler back against the cage.

Royler manages to break the clinch.

and Royler counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Royler dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Roy Royler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stringfellow looks to land a left hand but Royler moved out of range nicely.
A slow jab from Stringfellow misses its intended target.
Royler and Stringfellow are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Royler throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Stringfellow into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Royler knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
