Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Dureon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dureon misses with a looping right.
Dureon misses with a takedown attempt - Gracie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gracie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dureon lands with an uppercut that bounces Gracie off the cage and back into rage.

Dureon throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dureon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Dureon in his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gracie is pulling down on Dureon's head to control his posture.
Dureon wants to get up but he can't break Gracie's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dureon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dureon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gracie is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dureon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gracie's back instead.

Dureon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Dureon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Dureon tries to stand and escape but Gracie is controlling the position.
Dureon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gracie is doing well to control the position and prevent Dureon from advancing to side control.
Dureon wants to get back to his feet.
Dureon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gracie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Dureon stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dureon cracks Gracie with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
