Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shamar Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yushin Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes into the arena with Freak on a Leash blaring out of the sound system. Okami has chosen EMF - Unbelieveble as his entrance music. Yushin Okami has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Okami moves away.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jackson moves out of range of the strikes.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Okami manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jackson dives in for a single leg takedown but Okami sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
Jackson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Okami gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shamar Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackson jumps guard and drags Okami to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Okami works over Jackson with some ground and pound from guard.
Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Okami's guard.
Okami is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Okami keeps moving.

Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've been hearing that Jackson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Jackson wants to free his trapped foot but Okami is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jackson uses his free foot to push down on Okami's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Okami.

Jackson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Okami is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Okami won't allow Jackson to sweep him here.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Okami makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jackson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Okami!

Okami tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away.
Jackson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Okami is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Okami and Jackson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Jackson is working to tighten his grip on Okami's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Okami has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jackson is really squeezing tight and eventually Okami passes out! Jackson breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

After winning the bout, Shamar Jackson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
