Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Crugall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crugall's entrance music is Five Minutes Alone. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crugall defends well and Alvarez ends up having to push Crugall into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Alvarez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Crugall gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Crugall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Crugall shoots in and drives through. Alvarez sprawls well.

Crugall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Crugall showed some decent athleticism there.
Crugall wants to stand up but Alvarez has a hold of him and won't allow it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Pedro Alvarez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Alvarez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Alvarez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crugall postures up in Alvarez 's guard and throws a big left but Alvarez blocks it.
Alvarez pulls Crugall in close to prevent any damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alvarez is on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Crugall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alvarez 's guard.

Alvarez uses his free foot to push down on Crugall's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Crugall.

Alvarez has control of Crugall's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Crugall regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Crugall has given up his back.

Alvarez is working for a rear naked choke. Crugall is not defending it well and Alvarez has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Crugall refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Crugall's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
