Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson instigates a clinch.
Jefferson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Aoki has closed the distance and engaged Jefferson in a clinch.
Jefferson lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Aoki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aoki lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jefferson down.
Aoki is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jefferson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Aoki shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Aoki was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
