Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Rowland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bj Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bj Penn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bj Penn!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn tries to clinch but Rowland moves away

and Rowland counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rowland.
Penn wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Penn has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rowland avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Penn stalling in the clinch but Rowland improves position.
Rowland could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rowland fails to pull guard.
Penn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rowland fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Peter Rowland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bj Penn.
Penn presses Rowland against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Rowland cracks Penn with a big right hand but Penn just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Penn managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Rowland.

Rowland is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Penn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rowland lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Penn is looking for a sweep. Rowland is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rowland thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Penn's head.
Rowland seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Penn is looking for a triangle but Rowland pushes his legs off easily.

Penn postures up in Rowland's guard and throws a big left but Rowland blocks it.

Penn is fighting to break Rowland's control of his arms but Rowland is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rowland looks to land a body kick but Penn moved away.
Penn closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rowland! Penn dives in looking to finish! Rowland is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
