Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob The Robber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thumbo Plights (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Robber looks to score with a jab to the body but Plights is just out of range.
Plights connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Plights has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as The Robber is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Plights lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The Robber slips under a jab.
Plights shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as The Robber sprawls well. The Robber wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Plights gets slowly back to his feet.
The Robber looks to score with a jab to the body but Plights is just out of range.
Plights throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Plights takes the fight into the clinch.
Plights goes for a takedown attempt but The Robber pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Plights goes for a double leg but The Robber avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as The Robber continues to drive forward.
Bob The Robber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thumbo Plights.

Plights tightens his grip and picks The Robber up, before dumping him to the ground. The Robber manages to land in guard.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The Robber has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The Robber tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Plights throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Robber utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The Robber avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Plights content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Plights wants to control from the top but The Robber keeps moving.
Plights pushing down on The Robber's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The Robber knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Plights on the ground.

Plights looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The Robber holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Plights is pressing down on The Robber's thigh, looking to free his foot. The Robber is holding on for now.
The Robber is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The Robber is trying to control but Plights manages to pass to mount!
The Robber can't escape the position.
Plights trying to control but The Robber is having none of it.

Plights has control of The Robber's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and The Robber regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The Robber tries to hold on but Plights pushes him away.

Plights postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. The Robber looks a forlorn figure.
The Robber wants to control but Plights is having none of it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Plights looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Plights postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! The Robber is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Plights, into his guard.
The Robber is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The Robber trying to control the position from guard on top but Plights is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Plights wants to stand but The Robber is controlling the position.

Plights manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Plights can't get the takedown.
The Robber swings wildly with an uppercut but Plights uses good head movement to avoid it.

Plights turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Plights has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for The Robber!

The Robber reaches up to try and control the position but Plights seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! The Robber rolls and tries to escape and now Plights has his back!
Plights keeps control of the position as The Robber tries to break free.

Plights is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. The Robber is defending well though. Plights let's go of the attempt for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Thumbo Plights showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Plights lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and The Robber has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from The Robber and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Plights lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Bob The Robber is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Plights shoots in but The Robber avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Plights takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Plights doesn't manage to clinch there - The Robber circles away.
The Robber rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Plights moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The Robber stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and The Robber wants it to stay on the feet.
Plights takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Plights shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with The Robber but The Robber pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The Robber tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Plights wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Plights throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Plights takes the fight into the clinch.
The Robber misses with a punch on the inside.
The Robber misses with a shot to the kidneys.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The Robber is trying to break the clinch but Plights is controlling him.
Plights is looking for a takedown.

Thumbo Plights comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Plights has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
