The Spliff is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Westside Connection - Bow Down. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Spliff fails with the takedown

and Howe counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for The Spliff!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Howe tries to score with some ground and pound. The Spliff controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Howe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Howe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The Spliff tries to buck Howe off but Howe is having none of it.

Howe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, The Spliff has escaped the position, nice work there.

The Spliff is working to avoid the ground and pound but Howe connects with a decent elbow.
The Spliff is looking for a sweep.
The Spliff can't do much from the bottom here.
Howe lands some shots froms side control.

Howe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The Spliff is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Howe off and has taken his back!

The Spliff is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Howe knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Howe for a finish.

Howe is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if The Spliff gets his way!

The Spliff shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Howe sprawls well. Howe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Spliff gets slowly back to his feet.

Howe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The Spliff takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Howe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Spliff on the ground.

Howe has control of The Spliff's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and The Spliff regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The Spliff wants to hold on but Howe pushes him away.

Johnathan Howe showed his dominance in that final round.
Well The Spliff has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Steve The Spliff was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
