PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Korbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leiro Nayr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Korbett might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 2pac - Fight Music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Korbett. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Nayr connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Korbett has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nayr uses from the top position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We're going to have a standup here because James Korbett wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Nayr connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Korbett tumbling to the canvas! Nayr pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Korbett was done - good stoppage!
