The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jong Illin throws a series of punches but Lode moves out of range.
Lode misses with a takedown attempt - Jong Illin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jong Illin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Dzhonijs Lode has been cut.

and Jong Illin counters with a crisp one two that drops Lode! Jong Illin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lode to his feet! Lode is in big trouble!

Jong Illin jerks Lode's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Lode drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Jong Illin goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Jong Illin because Lode was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Kim Jong Illin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
