The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams drives through and clinches with Washington against the cage.
Williams looking to slow down the pace here.

Williams pulls guard.
Washington is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Williams has momentary wrist control but Washington slips an elbow through the middle.
Washington keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Williams's head.
Washington is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Williams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Washington is aware though and is defending well.
Williams trying to keep a closed guard but Washington is proving a slippery customer.

Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Washington can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Williams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Washington gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Washington has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Williams working for a triangle but Washington defends it easily.
Washington trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Washington prevents Williams from getting back to his feet.
Williams keeping moving, preventing Washington from controlling successfully.
Williams trying to keep a closed guard but Washington is proving a slippery customer.
Washington works over Williams with some ground and pound from guard.

Williams is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Washington drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Washington jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Washington is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Washington's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Washington chips away with some ground and pound.

Williams is looking to stand up but Washington isn't so interested in that idea.
Washington slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gabriel Washington.
Williams takes one on the button.


It looks like Dale Williams has been cut.

Williams rushes Washington and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Washington tries to break the clinch but Williams is controlling the position.
Williams misses with the head strike.
Still in the clinch, Washington scores with a nice short uppercut.
Washington working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.


Williams is rocked!
Williams swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Washington stops a takedown attempt from Williams.
Williams has a couple of punches blocked by Washington.
Washington wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Washington lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Williams working aggressively here.
Washington lands a nice uppercut.
Oh Williams is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Washington escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Washington closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Williams out cold! Williams corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
