Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dannie Fuentes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bang Quintero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quintero has chosen Thunder horse as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dannie Fuentes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bang Quintero!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quintero scores with a takedown into Fuentes's guard.

Quintero wanted to stand there but Fuentes had control of the position.

Quintero slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Fuentes.
Fuentes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Quintero is keen to just control but Fuentes is a slippery customer.
Quintero wants to pass to mount but Fuentes is defending the position.
Fuentes is positioning himself well to prevent Quintero advancing to mount.

Quintero looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Fuentes wants to get back to full guard but Quintero has mounted him!
Fuentes flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Fuentes holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Quintero tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

A close round but Bang Quintero will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Quintero shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Quintero thows a huge punch but Fuentes dodges it nicely.
Still in half guard, Quintero seems content to control.
Fuentes wants to control but Quintero is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fuentes holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Quintero tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Quintero is trying to take his opponent's back.
Fuentes is trying desperately to improve position.
Quintero throws some wild stikes that Fuentes manages to avoid easily.

Fuentes suckers Quintero into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Fuentes is now in Quintero's guard!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quintero has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Fuentes is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Fuentes trying to control the position but instead, Quintero has worked for underhooks and has pushed Fuentes into the cage.

Quintero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Quintero fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fuentes to the ground. Quintero is now in Fuentes's guard.
Quintero would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Quintero pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fuentes is keeping the position for now.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bang Quintero wasn't active enough on the ground.

Quintero manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fuentes on his heels. He'll look to pass Fuentes's guard now, I'm sure.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bang Quintero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Fuentes is trying to stick to Quintero's back but Quintero is turning into Fuentes. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Fuentes's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Quintero.

Quintero wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fuentes keeps working.

Quintero is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Quintero is just content to waste time from the top position. Fuentes takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Bang Quintero is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Quintero wants to control from the top but Fuentes keeps moving.

I would just about give that final round to Bang Quintero.
Well Quintero has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
