Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Syd Datsik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Datsik kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Let The Rhythm Hit Em. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Almeida.
Datsik misses with a straight left.
The fighters circling - Datsik throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Good work by Almeida as he checks the leg kick.

Datsik feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Almeida sprawling to the canvas! Almeida rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Datsik finish him?!

It looks like Rafael Almeida has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Almeida tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Datsik swivels and escapes.
Datsik fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Datsik dances in with a quick combination. Almeida is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Datsik snaps Almeida's head back. Almeida stumbles backwards against the cage. Datsik steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Almeida's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Almeida just didn't come prepared.
