Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Uncle Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rikki Rudd!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bob looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Bob throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Bob drops back looking for a leg! Rudd is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rudd manages to kick Bob off! Bob jumps back into Rudd's guard.
Rudd working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bob.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bob accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rudd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rudd can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bob controls the pace.

Bob advances to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rudd can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bob is thwarting Rudd's attempts to control the position.
Bob throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bob is keen to just control but Rudd is a slippery customer.
Rudd trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Bob connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Bob tries to control but Rudd wriggling away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bob looking to control but Rudd is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bob lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rudd hang on?

Bob looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Rudd in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Bob could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rudd looks winded!
Bob is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Bob lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bob looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Bob is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rudd has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rudd!

Bob looking for a guillotine here but Rudd defends easily.
Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bob is trying to keep Rudd in close.

Bob uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Rudd stuffs the takedown attempt from Bob. Bob gets slowly back to his feet.

Bob gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rudd must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bob had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rudd defends it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rudd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bob has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rudd has managed to get both his arms back between Bob's legs - danger averted.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rudd trying to control the position from guard on top but Bob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bob pushes a forearm under Rudd's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Rudd is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Uncle Bob!
A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Uncle Bob made sure he mentioned Atlantis, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
