The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers throws a right hand that misses

and Hatake counters by clinching up.
Hatake tries to stall but Rogers uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Rogers tries to break free but Hatake pushes him back against the cage.
Rogers tries to circle away but Hatake has him pinned against the cage.

Hatake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rogers slaps away a takedown attempt from Hatake, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rogers scores with a body shot.
That kick from Hatake tenderised Rogers's leg. Rogers is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hatake closes the distance and clinches up with Rogers, looking for a takedown. Hatake pushes Rogers against the cage but Rogers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hatake fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kakashi Hatake. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rogers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hatake.
Hatake closes the distance and clinches up with Rogers, looking for a takedown. Hatake pushes Rogers against the cage but Rogers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rogers has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Hatake fails to land with a series of punches.
Hatake is breathing heavily.
Rogers's corner calls for a 1-2. Rogers obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Rogers lands a big uppercut and Hatake crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hatake looks OK. Rogers waves Hatake back to his feet!

Hatake is rocked!

It looks like Kakashi Hatake has been cut.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Rogers engages and cracks Hatake with a massive lead left hook - Hatake tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Rogers is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

After winning the bout, Jason Rogers thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
