PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudolf Deer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Gromov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gromov has chosen Otrayavleniy-Warrior Spirit as his entrance music. Deer is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gromov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Deer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gromov somewhat.
Deer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Deer is breathing heavily.
Gromov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Deer as he jumps to the side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gromov is defended easily by Deer.
Rudolf Deer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitry Gromov.
Gromov shoots in looking for a takedown. Deer tries to sprawl out of it but Gromov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Deer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Deer wants to control the position but Gromov says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Deer has hold of Gromov's hands but Gromov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gromov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Deer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big shot lands for Gromov! That's hurt Deer! Will he recover? Gromov fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
