The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suarez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nocturne sprawls well initially but Suarez persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Suarez slows the pace down in half guard. Nocturne trying to control here.
Suarez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Suarez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Suarez stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suarez sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nocturne defending well though. Suarez is controlling the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Suarez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nocturne. Suarez looking to score a takedown here. Nocturne is defending well but Suarez drives through and ends up in Nocturne's guard. Nocturne looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Suarez slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Suarez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Suarez slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suarez tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Suarez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Nocturne is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Suarez yanks on the arm and Nocturne is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Suarez.
