Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Agustin Mccarty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorn Geukens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorn Geukens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Geukens, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mccarty fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Geukens sprawls well initially but Mccarty persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Mccarty decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Geukens moves into range and clinches up with Mccarty.

Mccarty really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Geukens tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Mccarty breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Mccarty gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mccarty throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Geukens was covering up waiting for the punch and Mccarty finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Mccarty gets to his feet. Geukens looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Geukens tries to stall but Mccarty uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Mccarty is fighting off a takedown attempt but Geukens is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mccarty to the mat. Mccarty regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Mccarty drives through and clinches with Geukens against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mccarty has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Geukens is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Mccarty is fighting off a takedown attempt but Geukens is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mccarty to the mat. Mccarty regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Mccarty pushes Geukens off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Geukens shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mccarty napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jorn Geukens has got the better of the ground game so far.

Mccarty sneaks out the side door and pushes Geukens away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Geukens has closed the distance and engaged Mccarty in a clinch.

Geukens feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
