The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Chris Dean and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spasov is looking to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Spasov.
Lucca drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Spasov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lucca is aware though and is defending well.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Spasov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lucca defends well and Spasov ends up having to push Lucca into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lucca has picked Spasov up - he's going for a ride! Lucca dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Spasov has his foot on Lucca's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lucca works his way back into a safe position though.

Lucca jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Spasov is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Spasov and Lucca has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Lucca decides to stand up, so the ref orders Spasov to his feet.

Lucca throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spasov was covering up waiting for the punch and Lucca finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lucca passes Spasov's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Spasov looking for submissions off his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Spasov is in trouble now - Lucca has advanced to mount!
