The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emerson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wriedt on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Wriedt bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Emerson's head backwards.
Emerson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wriedt swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Wriedt! Emerson is out on his feet! Wriedt rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Emerson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Emerson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
