Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arden Dejesus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Dark!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dark gets the takedown into side control.
Dark tries to advance to mount but can't.
Dejesus tries to buck Dark off but Dark is having none of it.
Dark looks up at the clock and then as Dejesus takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dark smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dark scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dejesus to see if he's OK.
Dejesus is trying to control Dark's posture but Dark avoids it.
Dejesus is looking to regain half guard here but Dark keeps moving and retains side control.

Dejesus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dark wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dejesus is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dark asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Dark scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Dejesus is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Dark can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Jay Dark decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
