Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Silvennoinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Elliott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvennoinen tried to score with a low kick but Elliott checks it.

Elliott shoots in and gets a takedown into Silvennoinen's guard.
Elliott wants to control from the top but Silvennoinen keeps moving.
Elliott trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Elliott is stalling in the full guard.
Silvennoinen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Taylor Elliott wasn't active enough on the ground.
A big left from Silvennoinen misses.

Elliott bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Elliott wants to control but Silvennoinen is keeping him busy.
Elliott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silvennoinen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Elliott is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Elliott thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silvennoinen's head.
Elliott is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Elliott is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silvennoinen is just riding it out for now. Elliott eventually gives up the hold.

Elliott seems to be working for a kimura but Silvennoinen defends the submission attempt.
Elliott tries to stand but can't do so whilst Silvennoinen controls his leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Elliott is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Silvennoinen tries to roll over but Elliott keeps him under control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silvennoinen gets back to full guard.

and Elliott makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Silvennoinen missing with a left hand there. Elliott was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Elliott shoots in and bounces Silvennoinen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Silvennoinen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Silvennoinen is pushing down on Elliott's leg trying to pass to half guard. Elliott is fighting to maintain full guard but Silvennoinen has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silvennoinen uses his free foot to push down on Elliott's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Elliott.
