Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Mean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mean is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Seven Nation Army. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cena instigates a clinch.
Cena misses with a knee to the head.
Cena creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Mean misses with an elbow over the top.
Cena is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Cena pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Mean takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like Dean Mean has been cut.
Cena throws an elbow but it misses.
Mean tries to break the clinch but Cena is controlling the position.

Cena pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Cena shoots in and gets a takedown into Mean's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Cena not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mean wants to control the position but Cena says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Cena content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Cena has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Cena just wasn't active enough.
Mean displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cena.
Dean Mean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mean has closed the distance and engaged Cena in a clinch.
Cena tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mean avoids it.

Mean tries to stall but Cena uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Mean throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Cena misses with an elbow strike.
A frustrated look appears on Mean's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mean can't break the clinch.
Mean tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cena smiles and moves away.
Cena throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mean's waist but Mean gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cena off to one side.
Cena dives in for a single leg takedown but Mean sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Cena. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A frustrated look appears on Mean's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mean dodges an elbow strike from Cena.
Cena keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mean's efforts to push away.
Cena throws an elbow that misses.
Cena throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Mean tries to circle away but Cena has him pinned against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Cena throws an elbow but misses.

Cena pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mean misses with a body kick.
Mean swinging wildly here.
Cena takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mean misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cena looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mean is fending him off so far but Cena persists. Nope, Mean circles away and we're back to standing.
Mean attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Mean tries to bum rush Cena with a series of wild strikes but Cena uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mean gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Cena tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We've been informed that Mean has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Mean is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Mean dodges an elbow strike from Cena.
Mean is looking to break free of the clinch but Cena has double underhooks.

Cena wants the takedown. Mean is fighting it off but Cena persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mean's guard against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cena slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Cena stopping the sweep attempt from Mean.
Cena controls from within his opponent's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Cena stands up from Mean's guard - Cena perhaps looking for a knockout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cena moves into the clinch successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Cena dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Dean Mean's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cena shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mean as he avoids it easily.
Mean throws a right and a left that Cena avoids nicely.

Cena rushes Mean and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Cena jumps guard and drags Mean to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Mean working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mean throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cena works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mean would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Cena pushes Mean off and scrambles back to his feet.
Mean misses with the combination.
Cena shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mean as he jumps to the side.
John Cena is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cena tries to clinch up.

Mean gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Cena drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cena jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mean looking to control.
Mean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cena. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cena postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Cena drops back looking for a leg! Mean is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mean manages to kick Cena off! Cena jumps back into Mean's guard.
Cena is pushing down on Mean's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mean is fighting to maintain full guard but Cena has managed to sneak the leg through.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cena in particular looking to stall.
Cena is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mean!

Cena looking to control but Mean is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Cena goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mean is on top in guard.
Mean throwing strikes but missing.
Cena is pulling down on Mean's head to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cena looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cena swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mean lying in Cena's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Cena decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Mean taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
