Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Emelianenko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Joe Esposito- You're the best around. Frank Mir acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko tries for a takedown but Mir sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mir misses with a jab, cross combination.
Emelianenko moves out of range as Mir strikes.
Mir lands a glancing blow to the side of Emelianenko's head.
Mir motions for Emelianenko to come forward. Mir throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Mir wants to slow Emelianenko down by chopping away at his legs.
Mir misses with a body shot.
Emelianenko has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Combat Sports Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Emelianenko shoots for a takedown but Mir saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Emelianenko throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mir on the side of the head.

Mir can't keep his opponent in guard - Emelianenko advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mir felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mir tries to kick Emelianenko off but Emelianenko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Mir turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Emelianenko off and cradles Mir's limp body as Emelianenko celebrates with his corner.

Fedor Emelianenko tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
