PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Calivente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milo Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyd has chosen I'm The Truth by Persist as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyd has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boyd fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Boyd as Calivente tries to tie him up.
Boyd has Calivente pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Calivente manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Calivente has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Boyd has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Calivente tries to stall but Boyd uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Calivente can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Calivente has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well Boyd has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
