Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sorbinian Potasu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Gage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Gage!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potasu closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Joe Gage has been cut.
Gage will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Potasu misses with a hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gage just misses with a punch to the body.

No joy there for Potasu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Potasu is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Joe Gage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Potasu throws a shot from downtown. Gage moves away and avoids it.
Gage takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Gage shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Potasu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gage sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Potasu cracks Gage with a right hand to the side of the head.
Gage lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Potasu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gage.
Potasu is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
A combination from Gage does no damage.
A big right from Potasu misses.
Potasu looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Potasu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gage missing with a left hand there. Potasu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Gage throws a front kick that sends Potasu stumbling back into the cage.
Potasu throws a nice looking combination but Gage bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Potasu blocks a low kick nicely.
Gage fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Potasu manages to avoid it.
Potasu is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Gage throws a good cross that connects.

Gage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Potasu was well out of range. Poor timing from Gage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A big left from Potasu misses.
Potasu throws a lazy right hand but Gage sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gage feints and then cracks Potasu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Potasu down.
A swing and a miss from Gage.
Potasu swings for the body but Gage moves out of range.
Potasu lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Potasu checks a leg kick.
Potasu has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gage.
Jab, jab by Potasu - just one landing.
Gage lands a jab.
Gage throws a lazy right hand but Potasu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Potasu blocks a head kick by Gage.
Gage scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sorbinian Potasu dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Joe Gage's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Potasu defending well as Gage loads up on a big left hand.
Gage lands a right hook to the body.
Gage connects with a leg kick. Potasu looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gage.
A head kick misses from Gage.
A jab from Potasu misses.
Nice shot by Gage.
Potasu blocks a leg kick.
A right-left combo lands from Gage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gage avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Potasu has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Potasu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gage does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A slow jab from Potasu misses its intended target.

Gage feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Potasu sprawling to the canvas! Potasu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gage finish him?!


Potasu is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gage ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Potasu out cold! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joe Gage!
A relieved looking Joe Gage thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
