Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vajas Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Backscratcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomas's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Wasted Years. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vajas Tomas!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Backscratcher!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tomas leaves Backscratcher with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tomas lets loose with a powerful body kick. Backscratcher will feel that in the morning.
Vajas Tomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good exchange - Tomas coming out on top.
Backscratcher misses the jab.
Tomas thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Backscratcher if he has to take too many more of those.
Backscratcher uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tomas.
Tomas throws a hook but Backscratcher avoids it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Backscratcher shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vajas Tomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Backscratcher.
Backscratcher moves out of range as Tomas strikes.
Tomas tries to clinch but Backscratcher moves out of range.
Backscratcher fails to land the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Tomas drives through and clinches with Backscratcher against the cage.

Tomas stops a takedown attempt from Backscratcher.
Tomas utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tomas - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Backscratcher ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Backscratcher no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Backscratcher is trying to keep Tomas in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Backscratcher is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tomas is aware though and is defending well.
Tomas wants to stand but Backscratcher has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Backscratcher wants to sweep here but Tomas controlling him for the moment.
Backscratcher has control of Tomas's left arm, preventing Tomas from doing any damage.

Backscratcher looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Backscratcher looking for a sweep. Not yet Backscratcher, not yet.
Tomas wants to stand but Backscratcher has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Backscratcher pulls Tomas in close to prevent any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tomas moves in looking to clinch but Backscratcher pushes him off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tomas lands a nice shot that snaps Backscratcher's head back.
Tomas fails in his attempt to clinch.
Backscratcher looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Tomas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Backscratcher stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Good leg kick by Tomas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Backscratcher closes the distance and clinches up with Tomas, looking for a takedown. Backscratcher pushes Tomas against the cage but Tomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Backscratcher shoots in looking for a takedown but Tomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Backscratcher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Backscratcher takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tomas doesn't manage to clinch there - Backscratcher circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tomas lands a nice leg kick that just misses Backscratcher's sensitive parts.

Tomas closes the distance and clinches.
Tomas tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Backscratcher avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vajas Tomas dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Tomas scores with a hook to the body. Backscratcher takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tomas buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Backscratcher takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Tomas listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Backscratcher tries to clinch but Tomas moves out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Tomas.
Backscratcher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tomas as he jumps to the side.
Tomas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Backscratcher's head backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A jab from Tomas does it's job there.


Backscratcher is rocked!
Tomas sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Backscratcher's defenses. It connects perfectly with Backscratcher's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vajas Tomas!
Vajas Tomas retains his middleweight title!
Our winner, Vajas Tomas, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
