The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Joao Batista has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Batista looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Grey wants to work for an arm triangle but Batista is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Batista has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Grey has hold of Batista's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Batista tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Grey cranks the arm and Batista screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Batista, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
