Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mambo Acid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erik Gordon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erik Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acid misses with a wild combination.
Acid fails with the takedown
and Gordon counters with a nice body shot.
Mambo Acid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Gordon counters with a crisp one two that drops Acid! Gordon thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Acid to his feet! Acid is in big trouble!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Acid pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Gordon counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Acid wants to sweep here but Gordon controlling him for the moment.
Acid seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Gordon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Gordon counters with a head kick. That will keep Acid thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Gordon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Acid doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gordon.

Gordon has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Acid works to full guard.

Acid is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Acid is pushing down on Gordon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gordon is fighting to maintain full guard but Acid has managed to sneak the leg through.
Acid is keen to just control but Gordon is a slippery customer.

and Gordon counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gordon connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Acid tries for a takedown but Gordon circles away easily
and Acid takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Mambo Acid has been cut.
Gordon lands a nice leg kick that just misses Acid's sensitive parts.

and Gordon counters with a straight right hand.
A big left from Acid misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gordon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Acid at a distance.
Acid throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gordon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Gordon catches Acid with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Acid tries to keep at a distance but Gordon has taken the fight into the clinch.

Gordon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Acid takes a jab right on the kisser.
Acid needs to keep his hands up - Gordon had a free shot at his head there.

Gordon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Acid tries to roll over but Gordon keeps him under control.

Gordon is taking a breather. Acid says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Acid lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gordon!

Acid jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gordon is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gordon and Acid has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gordon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Acid wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Acid is looking to take a break and control but Gordon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gordon is trying to get back to half guard.

Erik Gordon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Gordon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gordon wants it to stay on the feet.

Acid shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gordon defends it nicely.

Gordon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Acid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Erik Gordon wasn't active enough on the ground.
A solid leg kick lands there for Gordon.

Gordon drives through and clinches with Acid against the cage.
Gordon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Acid's efforts to push away.

Gordon wants the takedown. Acid is fighting it off but Gordon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Acid's guard against the cage.

Acid doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Gordon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Acid has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gordon has managed to get both his arms back between Acid's legs - danger averted.
Erik Gordon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Acid escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gordon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well Gordon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
