PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alberich Megrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacques De Molay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Megrez has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Alberich Megrez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacques De Molay!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Megrez works over Molay's head and body with a nice combination.
Megrez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Molay stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Molay connects with a good right hand that stumbles Megrez. Megrez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Alberich Megrez has been cut.
Molay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Megrez manages to avoid it.
A combination from Molay does no damage.
Molay misses with an uppercut
and Megrez counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Molay fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Nice defenses there by Megrez.

Molay cracks Megrez with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Molay has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Megrez to stand back up!

Megrez is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Molay plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Megrez swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Megrez face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jacques De Molay!
After the fight, Jacques De Molay was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
