Velez gets caught flat footed, as McGrath shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
McGrath works a leg free and moves into half guard.
McGrath is pressing down on Velez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Velez is holding on for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
