Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bob Orange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Silang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silang is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Make it bun dem Skrillex. Bob Orange has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Orange!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Silang!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silang showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Orange.
Orange misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Orange shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Orange was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Silang is trying to escape the position but Orange is controlling the position.
Silang prevents Orange from moving into mount.
Silang is trying to control Orange's posture but Orange avoids it.
Orange throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Orange staying calm.
Silang wants to get back to his feet but Orange is dominant here and he's now got Silang's back!
Silang trying to control the position but Orange manages to sink in the hooks.

Orange controls the action.
Orange really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Orange is punishing Silang with some ground and pound.

Orange is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Silang defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Orange misses with a punch to the head.

Silang wants to control his opponent's hands but Orange gets his hands free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orange is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Silang covering up well under a barage of strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Orange is looking for the choke from the back position but Silang is controlling his hands well.
Orange lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Silang looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Orange has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Silang has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Orange just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Orange moves in looking to clinch but Silang pushes him off.

Orange darts in and clinches Silang up against the cage.

Orange has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Silang uses from the top position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silang looking to sit in guard and control but Orange gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Silang has his hands on Orange's head, controlling the position.
Orange wants to stand and escape but instead Silang has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Orange has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Diego Silang wasn't active enough on the ground.

Orange shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Orange was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Orange wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silang, who protects the arm well.
Silang can't do much from the bottom here.

Orange wants to stand but Silang has his arm trapped.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silang parries the strikes from Orange easily there. Orange is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Silang to escape.
Orange wants to stand but Silang is controlling his arm.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Diego Silang wasn't active enough on the ground.

Orange drives through with a takedown into Silang's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Silang looking to control.
Orange's corner is telling him to maintain position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Orange dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Orange is looking to clinch.
Orange tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Silang gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Orange trying to stand up but can't free himself from Silang's guard.
Orange content to stall in guard here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bob Orange.

Orange gets a clinch.

Orange decides to pull guard.
Orange is pulling down on Silang's head. It's preventing any offense from Silang, at least for the moment.
Silang trying to control the position from guard on top but Orange is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Orange knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silang on the ground.

Silang is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Orange on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Orange tries to get out of the position.
Orange keeping moving, preventing Silang from controlling successfully.

Orange keeping full guard, as Silang tries to pass.
Silang tries to stand but Orange is controlling from the bottom.

Silang drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Orange manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silang has Orange in his guard.
Orange is looking to work some ground and pound but Silang has wrist control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bob Orange wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Silang drops his hands momentarily and Orange takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Orange tries to bum rush Silang with a series of wild strikes but Silang uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Orange closes the distance and clinches.

Orange has Silang pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Orange pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Silang tumbling to the mat - Orange dives into Silang's guard.
Silang avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Orange is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bob Orange wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Orange scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Silang is trying to control Orange's posture but Orange avoids it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bob Orange showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Orange has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
