Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian Redban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taz Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Taz Brandon enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brandon forces Redban back against the cage and clinches.
Brandon lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Redban prevents Brandon from breaking the clinch.
Our sources have told us that Redban has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Redban wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Redban's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Redban escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brandon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Brandon tries for a takedown but Redban sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Brandon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brandon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Brandon gets to his feet - Redban follows without any prompting.
Redban lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Brandon backs up against the cage.

It looks like Taz Brandon has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Brandon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Brandon thuds his right hand into Redban's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Redban breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Redban throws a series of punches but Brandon moves out of range.

Brandon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brandon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Redban throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Brandon gets to his feet - Redban follows without any prompting.
No joy there for Redban, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Redban pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brandon back to the cage. Redban follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Brandon's coach down at BLACKSMITH GYM - THE 25 Coach Las Vegas Mega-Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Brandon's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Redban misses with a head kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Brandon.
Brandon goes for a double leg but Redban avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Redban continues to drive forward.

Brandon moves in looking to clinch but Redban pushes him off.
Redban misses with the combination.
Redban throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Redban lands a two punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Redban misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brandon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brian Redban seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brandon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Redban sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brandon somewhat.

Brandon shoots for a double leg takedown but Redban sprawls well. He's pushed Brandon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Redban pushes Brandon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brandon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Brandon shoots in looking for a takedown. Redban tries to sprawl out of it but Brandon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Redban manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Redban's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Brandon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Redban pulls his leg out and moves away.

Redban drops Brandon with a beautiful combination! Brandon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Redban is looking for the KO!

Redban fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Brandon out cold! Brutal finish!
