Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Villeneuve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amadeus Astra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Villeneuve! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amadeus Astra! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Astra has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Astra looks for a takedown but Villeneuve sprawls well. Villeneuve throws a right and a left that Astra avoids nicely. Astra shoots for a takedown but Villeneuve saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Astra blocks a low kick nicely. Astra closes this distance looking for a takedown but Villeneuve circles away. Jesse Villeneuve has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amadeus Astra. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A nice leg kick lands there from Villeneuve. Villeneuve stuffs the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Astra changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Villeneuve tries to avoid it but Astra manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Villeneuve to the ground. Villeneuve escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Villeneuve throws a right and a left that both miss. Villeneuve misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck for Astra with that takedown attempt. Villeneuve throws a head kick that misses. An inside leg kick lands from Villeneuve. Villeneuve throws a right hand that Astra ducks under and follows up with a left that Astra also avoids with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Astra fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Villeneuve stuffs the takedown. Villeneuve will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Astra bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Villeneuve taking punishment in the form of punches.
Villeneuve on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Villeneuve tries to get out of the position. Astra prevents Villeneuve from escaping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Astra working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The strikes coming from Astra are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Astra has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Astra scoring with punches from side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Astra has an Americana. Villeneuve didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Astra is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Astra hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
