The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Elliott.
King throws a head kick that misses.
Elliott moves in looking to clinch but King pushes him off.

and King counters with a single leg into guard. Elliott didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
King wants to control from the top but Elliott keeps moving.

King fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Elliott manages to avoid it.

King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Elliott wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Elliott creates some space and throws a big elbow, but King sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
King is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sterling Elliott will probably get the nod.

King is trying to push Elliott away but Elliott has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Elliott gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from King.
Elliott jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as King walks away with a smile on his face. Elliott gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Elliott tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but King defends well and Elliott ends up having to push King into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sterling Elliott.
