Malone's entrance music is Martyr Perpetual Healing Infinite Pain. A fine choice. Maya has chosen Spitfire as his entrance music. Damian Maya has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maya uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Malone.
Malone wants to slow Maya down by chopping away at his legs.
The crowd cheers as Malone lands an impressive looking overhand right. Maya doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Damian Maya has been cut.
Maya avoids the head kick by Malone.

Malone shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maya's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Maya working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Malone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Malone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Malone postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Maya covers up, he's hurt! Malone keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Malone and the ref steps in to end the fight! Malone can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
